I fell in love with photography when I was only eight years old, and my strong passion for photography began when I owned my first film camera -Leica M6. Later on, when I received my first digital camera -Nikon D810, I had already accumulated some shooting experience and began to learn photography from books, Internet, and real practices.

My obsession with photography is beyond my language expression. During winter, I have traveled to Lake Superior to shoot photos of starry sky, scenery, flora and fauna; In the summer, I chased for the brightest beam of light in the Antelope Canyon. Even in the extreme weather, I did not give up my pursuit of the fascinating scene. Whenever I touched my camera, Trent Parke’s words spoke me, “I am forever chasing light. Light turns the ordinary into the magical.” This has always been the aim that I have pursued. —— Sijunbo Liu

“Everything that is done in the taking and developing of an image is processing or manipulating of some kind. Exposure, camera settings, lens choice, development of film, printing and computer work are all forms of processing. So I get a kick out of some people who call themselves “purists” and say that they donʼt use photoshop because itʼs cheating. To me they are just too lazy to learn how to use all the wonderful tools that we now have at our disposal. This is a golden age of photography and Iʼm loving it.”
